Many parents and citizens of Pittsburgh have the same questions you have.

Roosevelt is teflon in "The Steel City". I have no idea why other than Mr. Rogers passed away and was probably the only person in the community that might have questioned him and was listened to.

Check out http://purereform.blogspot.com/ If you want to read how many Pittsburghers feel. It us not my blog.

Again, thank you for your insightful posts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5458172893016186479.post-46636189220718769612010-10-08T01:02:12.082-04:002010-10-08T01:02:12.082-04:00The ALA's tanked on the PSSA's 2010. We just got the news we get to pay him around 280,000 for his life insurance, even though he broke his contract. He had a sweet deal here. I agree with you that it is mind boggling why this is so abrupt due to the nature of the unconditional love he had by the broad/board of education. I am certain that is only the tip of his severance deals.

Another theory Eli Broad and or (Bill Gates) is opening a private academy in Ohio and he is heading it. He has been quite the poster boy for Broad.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5458172893016186479.post-14302380660514099092010-10-07T19:16:29.919-04:002010-10-07T19:16:29.919-04:00A few points:

You won't red about that anywhere though. ALA's are left to their own devices with very little coaching or resources. They play with the numbers to inaccurately describe their achievements.
The managed curriculum is written by teachers who need a little extra money, certainly not by professional curriculum writers. Mistakes and poor writing plague these scripts. That's ok though because they still purchased full sets the real curriculum the writers are pulling from for math and reading. Which means as a math teacher I had three rather expensive boxes of curriculum although I was only allowed to use one.

None of this is ever made public because...well, we'd lose our jobs.

Bye Mr. Roosevelt, thanks for nothingAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
